The song is about a GUY. Incase some of you didn't know, a lush is a drunkard. The kid pretty much is drinking away his life and leaves everything and everyone he cares about behind, including his girl. The :forget me, it's that simple" is not just for one person, but for everyone he knows, including his past self. The "I don't think that you know what you've been missing" is from his girlfriend and all his friends telling him he's missing out on life. Extremely depressing..... This is so emo man! :*( |

Blink loser kid, do you play an instrument? Someone who picked up a guitar for the first time 5 days ago could play NFG's new stuff. At least the songs on "Nothing Gold Can Stay" had intricate lead guitar parts. I know NFG is capable of good music, but I just think they are rushing with this new stuff and not doing the best they can. Oh, and I like how you started with the office space quote :) |

OK, I admit, good song, But NFG is nothing like they used to be. "Nothing Gold Can Stay" is their best album, hand down. Unless you are one of those kids who found them on MTV and think their self titled is their first, but then you really don't count in my opinion. |
