Queen – Innuendo Lyrics 2 years ago
I assume that at that moment, Freddie was reflecting on his condition (some have already commented on this) of his life, since he was diagnosed with HIV in 1987 and that brought a different weight to his mental condition and we can see that in this song. I dare to say that in this phase which the band was dedicating themselves to the extreme, Freddie who, no matter how dedicated and concentrated he was at work, did not fail to see the progress of the disease, especially with deaths being increasingly rapid and frequent around him, I imagine, in a way, Freddie's despair when contemplating his own situation and inquiring, perhaps, God, why he was living that moment of uncertainty and consternation. The agony of knowing that you are going to die, but maybe not yet, and who knows, without feeling many of the destructive effects that the disease would bring you at the end of 1990, made him reconsider his trajectory, but leaving his mark. Freddie wanted to be Freddie and that no one could ever say he was a "monkey deal" who would manipulate him into being different. He does, a great reflection on life and that is, in fact, the greatest legacy of an artist who did everything, could be everything, lived without a mask and above all, did not bow down to anyone. He was who he had to be and that taught a lot over time to a lot of people! God have you in a great place! God bless you!
