Honestly, I think she has attachment issues & issues with self respect, self identity. She's struggling between her whirlwind rush of emotions she feels for this other person and it can be seen via the chrous, "You come on like a drug I just can't get enough I'm like an addict coming at you for a little more" It's easy to see she really likes this person but when she says things like, "I am a wolf but, I like to wear sheep's clothing" And "I have my reasons Call it my defense Be careful what you're wishing" She's warning her partner not to get too close because even she realizes how 'damaged' she believes that she is. I've known people that struggle with this push-pull in their relationships. She really likes them, but she's afraid of hurting them so it's easier to push them away intentionally to either spare the other person the eventual hurt or to just 'lets just get this over with' self fullfilling belief in themselves. |
