I recently watched the drive-by truckers documentary “the secret to a happy ending,” and they were playing this song in the background when focusing on Jason and Shonna’s divorce. My hypothesis is that this was advice Patterson Hood gave Shonna, and that Jason flipped the pronouns around to make it a little bit less obvious. I just can’t see Patterson saying this to Shonna when Jason was at his low point. |
