i think this song is about suicide. the line "a heart thats full up like a landfill" is about the fact that theyre full of everything and cant take anymore. "a job that slowly kills you" is about the fact that their job is pushing them closer to the edge and draining them. "bruises that wont heal" is about the damage from previous attempts have stuck with them. "a handshake of carbon monoxide" is about the attempt, they are trying to die with carbon monoxide. "no alarms" is about the fact they wont wake up to an alarm. "no surprises" is the fact that nothing can shock them and they can finally rest now theyre dead. "silent, silent" is about how quiet their head is now they are dead. "this is my final fit, my final bellyache" means nothing can hurt them and this is their last thing to do. |

i think its a relationship when theyre too scared of being alone so they dont leave, although they know its entirely based on alcohol and fear. they are bith alcoholics and are always drunk and the alcohol makes them almost believe they still love eachother yet one of the partners constantly try to leave the other but the other begs and begs for one more chance (in other words, one last kiss) and most of the lyrics are described how they were madly in love when they met because they were young but now they dont love eachother but again, theyre scawed to be alone and the "i need yoy like i need a broken leg" is that one of the partners is desperate for the others attention, whether they go through extremes to get it |
