I think that it is about society trying to get someone to conform to their standards. When it says "Bend me, shape me, misdirect me" and "look at all this useless talk", I think it is about a certain class looking down on others. But when it says "raise your hands, you're a sinner", he is telling them that they are just as imperfect as he is. |

I think that it is about two brothers but the younger one is more favored by their father. The oldest hates his little brother, stating that "I know the score". And after being emotionally abused by his father, he ran away. His father made him doubt himself saying that "now I'm sure that I know" and he "never felt so undecided" along with "all of the things that have happened I'm surely to blame". Before he left he felt like a "little boy so scared and frightened". When he thinks, he is reminded of his hatred towards his little brother. |
