To me, this song seems to be about being completely infatuated with someone, or in love with someone that it can be difficult to process the thoughts out in speech, or in writing, so he compares his love to a wheel, and will roll it no matter how difficult it may be. That's why he says that awkward turn of phrase "I'm going to tell you that you're going to be mine" and then counters that thought with no wait, "I can't tell you how I feel"
Quite beautiful since emotions for people can't always be articulated, but this is one of those extended metaphors like my heart is a ship at sea. Sometimes its easier just to love the person fully and completely than speak the words. |
