The idea that Stevens is trying to impart is a Biblical Precept. It goes like this: "We are not sinful because we sin; we sin because we are sinful. In other words you can't say that my actions are not as bad as someone else's therefore I am a better person. It's our sinful condition that God wants to deal with. And, it's our sinful condition that nobody, apart from Jesus Christ, can do anything about. |
