I was dissatisfied with the amount of comments on Aires, so here I am. It's false hope, he's so hopeful that this relationship is going to work out. he's been gone for awhile "I won't get back till the end of summer, will you still be there?" - chalk tablet towers. But he still believes that the relationship will work out, but "you've more than less forgotten me this summer." - the pink phantom. Shows that sometimes hope is nothing but hope. |

It's of course about iron lungs (an early medical device to combat polio, look it up if you want more info.) The devices were horrible, it was an alternative to you suffocating. But it wasn't living. You were essentially trapped in an iron coffin living in pain until you eventually die. I think that the song is about suffering just to die. About what's best for you, not being what's best for you. About being trapped and being told to be grateful. |
