To me the lines "I was diagnosed with a fear of getting too close Had to tell the ones I love, I was on the ropes" come accross as someone who is fully surrendering him to his significant other of friends, but at the same time has to confess that things are not going great and he's standing on the proverbial edge of life. "I'm not the only one whose life's been pulled apart Spending one year and three months in the dark" Sounds to me like the C19 lockdown we all went through, which made a lot of things difficult, both in business as in relationships. |
