@[RiverStyxGhoul:48382] "Osculum Obscenum" translates to "obscene kiss". I think you may be on to something with the Sister tho. The song is about lusting after someone you idolized that turns out to not be a great as a person as you thought but you still can't help how you feel. Keeping that, the video and the overall lore of Ghost in mind, your theory, while needing a little tweaking, makes sense. |

I'm kinda surprised by how many people think this song is about finding god or even really god related. I caught none of that. "Lost in the pages of a book full of death" is a metaphor for committing suicide, not about any kind of religious book. Basically what I think this song is about is this dude has come to the conclusion that he's ready to die. He's depressed, alone, full of regret and over it. So he's gonna take his own life and he knows exactly where he wants to do it, in the house of an ex he pushed away and he's gonna wait there for her "like a stone" because by the time she gets there, he'll already be dead. I always thought it was kinda messed up for a poppy radio song and it's even more creepy/sad when you take into consideration how C.C. killed himself. I mean, he was basically telling us what was gonna happen long before it did, you know? |
