You're just waiting for a sign/ Like you're waiting for spring/ But you don't recall the seasons/ Some drawings on a damp wall/ Remind you who you are/ Memories lost in wrinkles/ Thinking that this song is about aging; more specifically old age or even dementia or Alzheimer's(?) Tonight was my first time hearing this song. I really enjoyed it, both musically and lyrically. I hope more people comment on this! |

It's not for everyone/ To touch the sun/ You must let them fly/ Just let the wild ones run/ This song points out that what works for some people doesn't work for everybody; monogamy, for instance. As a society we uphold that monogamy is the only "right" way to have a relationship (in that case, being a celebrity with constant temptation has to be hell on a "normal" relationship). Some don't conform to the "normal" way of living life, and it works for them. I believe the lyrics are about asking to not be repressed, being allowed freedom to fly, letting the partner know that wherever they roam they will return, and with greater appreciation (give me all/I'll give you more) and the relationship, without the constraints of what some people see as "right" or "moral", can thrive if the people involved have mutual respect and love for each other. Some of us just need more freedom than others. Like the saying goes, "If you love something, set it free. If it comes back, it's yours; if not, it was never meant to be." This is probably my favorite P.O.S. song in that I can relate everything in the lyrics to my own life/attitude/behavior. "Sometimes I feel/The beast is the best of me". Yes, I believe it is! |

| Wanting somebody so badly because they remind you so much of someone with whom you've shared a deep love but for whatever reason it was lost or it changed over time. "..just this one time" to feel that connection, that emotion, knowing that there may be consequences for both parties if they act on the urge. Also the realization that what once was can never be again, but maybe just once it would be similar enough to satisfy. What then? Do they leave, separately, forever wondering about what might have been... or do they act on it, meet the needs they both have, and worry about the consequences afterwards? Hmm. Thought provoking! | |

She keeps on calling me I keep hanging up It's not that I don't want to talk I just fear listening The minute these lyrics sunk in, it brought me right back to a phone call I received from a friend that I hadn't heard from in a long time. Before I even heard his voice, my mouth had already gone dry and I felt sick; like somehow I knew it wasn't going to be good news. Turned out not to be quite as tragic as I had expected, but nonetheless the news wasn't good. I feared listening. I didn't hang up, but I considered not answering. When I relate a personal experience to a piece of music or a lyric, it is pretty profound. It lets me know I'm never really alone in any experience, and that is a gift. Thank you Daniel Gildenlöw 🥲 |

| @[2006200720082009:46511] I think you nailed it with "always seeing the things you love eventually end, to be replaced by new things in some level of continuity until the inevitable final time." | |
