@[dave109226:46432] ' Agape’ is a Greek word which originally meant simply: love. The Christian faith’s connotations of the word aren’t and were never really my focus. For me Agape came to have its own meaning in my head. Love is a word that is used so frequently for things big and small and it can have such huge meaning but also so little meaning at the same time. Something about the word ‘Agape’ gave a new impetus to the word love. For me it really got across that sense of openness I was looking for. In writing the song I was hoping to reach some sort of level of openness with my loved ones and myself and the word kinda became a mini philosophy for me in the process of writing the EP and in life outside of the EP". – Andrew Davie (Bear’s Den) |
