If you listen to the music without the lyrics, it is actually the same music as "Love and Hate" by Michael Kiwanuka. You can literally sing that song over this song. So this song appears to be the girl's response to the guy's song. In the song "Love and Hate", it appears the guy is fighting his demons and decided to open up to the girl because he trusts her.. it says on the song "I believe, she won't take me where I'm not supposed to be". Now on this song "I Wish I Could Fly" is from the perspective of the girl, the guy opened up to her and she realized she does not know him as much as she thought she did. She wants to know more about him. The way the song was sung, you could tell that she cares about him and have a deep yearning to know him. |

I had a friend / acquaintance that I had known for 11 years. He is my ex's best friend, they are very close and treat each other like brothers. One day he saw me and we started chatting just reminiscing about the past. We agreed to go out one night for some drinks.
