The 'old enough to bleed' has a double meaning- although controversial, I think that because both Mike and Tre have daughters, it could both be about heartbreak and getting hurt AND their periods. Green Day isn't known for being discreet so I think it's quite cool they're so open about it despite the depressing meaning of the song overall. |
