The Stereo is an amazing band. More people really need to start checking them out. I love this song, it was one of the first I heard of them, and even now I'm still not sick of it. Well definitely about a breakup...the part that kinda really gets me is "The only thing I've learned I know you won't return..." Yeah. Ouch. But like the song also says...I Can't Look Back... Here's to moving on. |

Surprised not a lot of people have viewed Movielife lyrics, they ARE drive thru band and all. Oh well just a bit more, I know it. This is a great song. Seeing it live, Vinnie sang right back to me the last line that just gives me chills because I can relate so much to it... "Cuz anything that you do or say couldn't compare to the pain that I felt the day that you said that we'd go our seperate ways..." I talked to him for a bit after the show, because seriously seeing them and Brand New live helped me so much after my recent break up and he confessed to me that he was getting over a break up as well. Really nice guy, awesome band, awesome live especially, check this song out, and "This Time Next Year", "Hand Grenade", and "Ten Seconds Too Late." |

A good friend told me this song remined them of me. It's a great song. The lyrics are wonderful because basically I don't think it has to be about someone you're necessarily romantically interested in. Just someone so amazing, so intriguing, you want the most of them. |

For the record, a lot of people have been saying that they're sick of new fans and whatnot who only sing this song at shows...this is a great song, why the hell no if it attracts fans, they deserve it. And not to mention when I saw them live, the song everyone went insane to was "Irish Car Bomb"...so give some people the benefit of the doubt at least. ANYWAY. This song has helped me out a lot. It described the breakup with my ex and the whole "second chance has become of a friendship if you can call this one"...and sure enough he did get the second chance. Big mistake. He let me down AGAIN... HRC rocks...both old AND new HRC period. |

I relate to this song all too well. Basically the way I see it and the way I relate it to my life is an ex you're not over at all pretty much...and they keep leading you on...playing games with you....and of course you give in everytime to these games of theirs because it's as if you're getting off from them too, in a sick way. Hell, that's what heartbreak does to you. |

This must be comment 99...but I just have to put my bit of input into this one because it is one of my all time favorite songs. The lyrics to this song are so simple yet it's as if each one strikes a major chord within me. I guess I couldn't a few months ago, but after a break up that affected me a lot, it's as if it all makes sense now. "The first star I see...may not be...a star..." In those few words I learned such a huge lesson. The one I thought who was a star, the one I shined for, hurt me more than anyone had before. And although it's still hard to accept and swallow it down, I guess ultimately in that sense, he wasn't truly my star. -sigh- wow this song is just amazing. Whether you can relate to it or not, it just is. But I guess even more so when you go through something similar to it... |
