Made an account just to point out that this song is very clearly about abuse. I was looking up the lyrics because it was ringing true for something I just experienced. Abuse starts subtle. It's quiet and it seems forgiveable, until it keeps happening. I'm sorry but these lyrics are screaming that one or both of these people in this relationship have no healthy idea of how to be with another person: It's affection, always Ooh, you gonna see it someday My attention's on you Even if it's not what you need Anyone trying to sell you this narrative has serious boundary issues, and is focused on their needs, and not on the reality of two people together. :/ |
