It's very, very obviously about someone dealing with a loved one who has dementia, and struggles to recognize who they are. Look at the chorus. They can occasionally, briefly recall who this person is, but otherwise, they just can't. This isn't about a failed relationship or anything of that sort. It's something far, far more severe than that. |
