Corey Taylor stated in an interview that it is about a girl he had fallen for after she helped him through a dark spot in his life. He ended up falling for her, thought she fell for him but she didn't have feelings and basically they moved their separate ways where he worked on himself alone throughout the rest of the dark moment in life he was having. |

Your really off. Corey Taylor even said the song was about a girl he knew who helped bring him out of a dark time in his life. He fell for her but she didn't for him. He was really heartbroken over it.
