Duran Duran – Palomino Lyrics 2 years ago
@[Canada:46328] it is about some girl known by the song writer, and maybe since it refers to Arabia, they may have been comparing the woman to the beautiful Arabian horses, the palomino coloring in horses is gold with white manes.

@[xdvr:46327] it apparently refers to a Pablo Picasso quote, when someone asked him during his famous "blue period" what he did when he ran out of blue paint, which he replied "why I use red instead", which is part of the lyrics of the song, which refers to some woman that the song writer knew

Tears for Fears – Mothers Talk [Album Version] Lyrics 2 years ago
This is an anti war song referring to nuclear winter with the "wind blows" and the old wives tale that your face would get stuck when you made a funny face if the weather changes refers to how your face would get stuck if there was a change in the weather from nuclear warfare.

Song came out in the 80s and was a protest against the US putting nuclear missiles into Europe against then USSR, provoking a nuclear warfare. There's an interview with the band somewhere where they explain this I think it might be on an audio recording from the extended album.

@[Ryanadamsfan:45937] Good theory and I might agree but it is the official lyrics to the song. It comes up if you play the song on an iPhone and turn on the lyrics which syncs with the actual song. It is not impossible that the official source of the song put in the wrong lyrics but unlikely.

@[stoolhardy:45936] if you play the song on an iPhone from Apple music they sync the lyrics to the song. It is the chant at the end spoken over and over.

@[ZenithOClock:45935] Excellent but I would dispute that "Mother's Talk" is obvious, it is an oblique reference to nuclear war and an anti war song, they have said so in an interview.

@[OldSkool:45934] on the same album, Mother's Talk is also an anti war song. "weather starts to burn" refers to nuclear warfare, and "your features form with a change in the weather" refers to if you make a bad face mothers used to say if the weather changes your face would get stuck that way, but the weather change now is nuclear winter
