I think everyone here really needs to hang up their amateur psychologist placque and just enjoy the song. Because unless you really knew Mr. Hendrix, not a one of you has even the vaguest idea what he "meant" when he wrote this song, if anything. And as for him writing this song for his "girlfriend", she says that. He didn't, and there's no evidence he ever did. Get the picture? Because if "Jimi Hendrix said.." everything Jimi Hendrix said, he wouldn;t have had time to play. |

"Last Kiss" wsn't written to preface getting your girlfriend run over by a train, nor was "The Eggplant That Ate Chicago" written to warn of alien vegetable attack... |
