Vangelis – I'll Find My Way Home Lyrics 1 year ago
@[dreamgirl1983:52185] very good take on the lyrics. I am an atheist myself and have never thought that this song might relate to christianity.
I currently re-discovered my interest in ancient egyption mythology and religion and when I heard this song again on some old Spotify playlist (albeit a cover version from Project Pitchfork) I was reminded of Aleister Crowley and his kemenitic inspired Thelema. I'm not a thelemite myself but a friend of mine is and I have some insights in their believe system.
"sun shall rise in the east" and "speaks in far ancient tongue" and especially "your will to be free is matched with love secretly" gives me a lot of Thelema or even Luciferan/satanistic vibes. "Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law" and "love is the law, love under will" jumped into my mind. @[ShannyH:52186] stated correctly, the meaning is different for every listener.
Every listeners life, experience, believes are different. There is no way that *my Interpretation* is the right one. Meaning of lyrics even change for the writers themselve when they age.
I love those lyrics, they give me a hopeful and somehow romantic feeling. Just had that song on repeat for an hour drive in my car. Lol

Death in June – Runes & Men Lyrics 2 years ago
The protagonist is heartbroken by a person with ginger hair. Sits lonely and sad alone at home, drinks wine and muses about a romanticized past which never happened.
Probably, and this is only my assumption, a song which describes Douglas Pearce himself in this situation. He openly admits his fascination with the 3rd Reich and the asthetics, especially men in uniforms. This is an autobiographical piece.
