To me this song is about addiction. "Rust around the rim" represents the drug or thing that the writer KNOWS will hurt him, "drink it anyway" is the overwhelming urge to use despite knowing the consequences. "Bruised face of contusions" represents how addiction changes the person, both physically and mentally. The "I dont mind at all, lean on my pride, I'm a lion" really talks to me, being a leo. What it means is unclear to me though |
