@[Dickfornose:45459] I got into fingers in 82,when I was 13 through a mates brother,and alternative ulster and white noise were a couple of the tracks I first heard.at the time I didn’t understand about lyrics to songs and their meanings.it’s only as you get older and learn and understand what the fuck is going on in our fucked up crazy world that you begin to appreciate the meanings of songs.my dad (r.I.p you crazy old man)was a soldier in n.I,in 1958 he was also catholic,while me n me sister are prods and he began to explain shit to me about the troubles and you start to realize how bad it was/is for both sides.my dad loved Ireland,he lived on family farm in the south when war broke out over here,and although he was born on the mainland he was pretty passionate about the place,and just wanted every fucker to live in peace.he detested the troubles and I suppose put his life on the line by doing patrols with a 1st ww lee enfield rifle. PEACE to all!!!! And just a little side note,nowt do wi fingers,music but just about me dad,he also guarded Rudolph Hess in spandau jail.love you dad,love you fingers, and love b.w.f.c |
