| @[mbrachman:45363] I tend to agree. When I am around someone going through a tough time I save the advice and just tell them I have two large shoulders and make sure they have my phone number. The primary thing being I STFU otherwise. I went through a breakup almost 40 years ago when attending Georgia Tech. I suffered for a while. What helped me more than anything was I could feel my friends being close, but they stayed out of my way. However, this song really forces my memory back to 1991, a friend who was a surgeon lost his wife to an auto accident. The man refused to date again. Even today 30 years later lives alone. I asked him once if he was ever lonely. He said yes all the time, BUT, his wife was that once-in-a-lifetime love that will never happen again. | |
