The first 2 stanzas are reality- the narrator is a kid and is stuck on a summer lake vacation with the parents and other adults. They are all on the pontoon boat (with astroturf on deck) and are drinking and ignoring the kids. So the kid looks for some excitement and breaks off on the sunfish to do some sailing, and also sneaks some of the alcohol out of the cooler. Then the rest is the fantasy as the sunfish melds into the cargo ship delivering the blueberries to Asia and navigating through pirate invested waters.
