Yeah, he's trashed in a bar, shooting pool when they meet. She's seductive and they go to her hotel. The chorus is about him waking up ridiculously hungover after blacking out on the motel linoleum floor, sun blaring down on him. Then back to the details he dimly recollects -- a kettle and two coffees; number on the door; he's trying to put it together. But that's all he remembers -- and now his stuff is gone. She hustled him -- gave him a goodnight kiss (only), then watched him pass out, took his shit and bailed. His wife left him - was it over this incident?
