Audioslave – Show Me How to Live Lyrics 10 months ago
@[brokentelephone78:53135] I just read this ten years later. I am sending you as much good will and love that I can. You must be one strong person for going through all that.

@[Pushit117:53134] exactly. He is angry or frustrated and doing the same thing we all have done at some point. Why am I here and what am I supposed to do. The only questions in life more important than that is , what comes next? I also think he had the Frankenstein+; technology angle going for parts of this song. It's deep lyrically imo even though it's still simple at the same time. Chris was just a brilliant poet that did not get enough credit for his writing because his voice was always stealing the show. This man is so missed.

@[MagnusonPark:53133] this could certainly be part of it. I personally feel this song has several angles, Frankenstein one. The chorus is a powerful statement that I think he means literally. Frustration at your creator taken to the brink of anger coming very close to telling him/ her to fuck off. I think some of the better lyric writers, and Chris is definitely in that category, wrote songs branching out in several meanings. Not all his songs. Just some.

@[Darkstar:53132] Battalion this song to me sounds like Chris is frustrated with the Christian story and yelling at God. It's fucking brilliant. It's also a common theme among people seeking.

@[jenbebe:53131] Chris used a lot of christian imagery in his lyrics. Solo, in Soundgarden, with audio slave and even with temple of the dog. The man was curious about the spiritual realm at least. He may not have been christian but he was very spiritual. Listen to some of interviews in his later life. If there was one word I would use to describe Chris ....it would be shaman. All that being said, I agree with you. I just ramble a lot.

Alice in Chains – Junkhead Lyrics 2 years ago
Its a pro drug song. Period. Alone its taken out of context. You have to listen to all of dirt and watch this guy that LOVES getting high and Layne did, realize he no longer loves it but its now out of his hands. Layne was put on this earth imo, as a warning to all drug addicts. He was given the gift of a remarkable voice and a need to use. It was his human experience and his job here was to scare addicts straight. And Dirt has scared many, many addicts straight. Not just dirt but Laynes life and fall into darkness. A man that had it all and was gifted that within 10 years looked like an 80 year old man that weighed 90 pounds and had no teeth. No other person of his celeb fell in such a way that it was chronicled like Layne....at least that I can think of. The man in the box guy turned into a man residing over his own funeral, 5 years later during the unplugged session. All of us that you helped Layne...thank you.

Page and Plant – Blue Train Lyrics 3 years ago
I have been a zep fan for a long, long time. This song is just as good as ten years gone. Its also the only song that makes me cry everytime I hear it. I am not a cry(y) kind of guy. Plants vocals are haunting.
