Every single personal interpretation here is correct! This song is about every bit of what you all have added...and more. Life sucks for the average person, the blue and white collar worker. The system is geared towards keeping everyone down under it's thumb. So we cope or we die We know we want more, they know that we want more, but from the day we're born, we're all born for the floor. We all learn this lesson eventually. Depression and other mental health issues can definitely be a result of this. That'll keep you down, and that's how the "man" likes it. Songs from the Grunge era like this are usually multi-layered, well written, and slightly cryptic, some are direct and others are just senseless for the sake of wordplay. The system is fashioned now at keeping us divided and causes us fight each other and ourselves instead of the system that wants to keep us all Bound for the Floor. |
