| @[jed1066007:44934] I agree with much of what you say except the last part. Gord definitely did not think that “Love Tara” was “blah”. He absolutely loved Eric’s Trip and especially that particular album…so much so that he invited them on their “Another Roadside Attraction” tour and hand-picked Julie Doiron for his Country of Miracles band. I believe that he listened to Love Tara in the song to try and HELP him find the cuteness in the unadorned. It is a very raw,lo-fi album (unadorned) but that only adds to its “cuteness” and emotional heft. By listening to it he was hoping it would help him see the cuteness in his new, naked (unadorned) helpless little child perhaps? | |
