| This song is very deep. Comes from a place of experience and disillusionment of this world. The things that this world offers you instead of God are temporal. They are plastic and fake with no depth. They will leave you naked and ashamed. Then at the end you feel like giving up. Could be addiction of any sort, lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh and the pride of life. Anything that entices you to follow after if with false hopes of happiness and fulfillment. The writer went down that road and found at the end God was still there and had been there all the time waiting for her. So amazing. | |
