@[HammerFloyd:44870] I agree mostly but the middle part we call the whale noises I believe is one lost soul calling out to another are you out there beyond the wall that's why you hear it when "pink"is banging on the "wall" in the movie. It's about the disconnect and lack of empathy with our fellow man. But those who hear the call band together and overcome. I'll throw the window wide and call to you across the sky. I hope you hear my "Ping". |

| Pink Floyd – What Shall We Do Now? Lyrics

He's so jaded they already have more than they ever need so why keep it up. How many cars, houses, guitars, money and women how much drugs, when is it enough. We never know how much is enough, till we find out how much is too much. He's had too much. |

I've heard this song for over 40 years now and the meaning has changed over there years like so many pink floyd songs these guys we're wise beyond their years. But it's about wasting your life, but that's relative. To some not having kids is wasting your life, or not being successful or making money. No matter what there is never enough time to do everything you want accept it and the the best you can with the time you have and don't waste a minute. Basically live every moment to the fullest. |

It's anti organized religion that's why the lord's prayer is featured in the middle of the song. Don't go against the grain. Stay home and do as you're told get outta the road if you wanna grow old. My favorite line is wave upon wave of demented avengers March cheerfully out of obscurity into the dream. Makes me think if the musicians like pink floyd who rise up to let us know there is another way to live life other than the one taught by the church. |

Dogs is about a middle to upper management types who dedicated his life to work and alienated his family and friends and works his life away and dies alone. For what a little bit of power and money. What did he pass up along the way. |

| Black Sabbath – Looking for Today Lyrics

I think it's about the pressure of the music business. Looking for today make that number one hit forget about how your music will stand the test of time
Don't delay you're in today
But tomorrow is another dream
Sunday's star is Monday's scar
Out of date before you're even seen
Get that hit make your money forget about your legacy.
At the top so quick to flop
You're so new but rotting in decay
Like butterfly so quick to die
But you're only looking for today
Your just looking for that hit single
Thank God Sabbath wasn't looking for today
And their music stood the test of time |

So I've heard that "fluff" was a music industry term at the time. A song made for the mom's and girlfriend so Iommi decided to name this song after that a little bit of fluff for the album. Either way a great piece of music. |

One of my favorite Sabbath tunes, Technical Ecstasy is a VERY underrated album in my opinion. It's a story ad old as time... a man being sucked in and dragged down by a woman. Guys we've all been there falling for the wrong woman. Gypsy woman your the devil in drag, you are the queen of all hell, you took my body, now you're wasting my soul... you're gonna take my mind as well it's over. Been there done that... been so into a woman you lose yourself. That's what the songs about. Also one of the best outros ever. One of Iommi's best. |

Definitely about Patrick Meehan former sabbath managment who robbed the band blind. You bought and sold me with your lying words. The band had an on going court case with former management during the recording of the Sabotage album. They found out that after 5 very successful albums and touring the world for 5 years they were essentially broke, the management company owned their houses and cars. Good or bad it taught the band to fend for themselves and culminated in the best Sabbath album in my opinion |

It's about a lose of faith in mankind. We're not going to make it. If we make it we can all sit back and laugh ... but I fear tomorrow I'll be crying. The musicians of the time preached peace and love but were ignored. The walls on which the prophets wrote. Technology is pushing us further apart rather than bringing us together. Knowledge is a deadly friend when no one set the rules. We've become a materialist society and every man is torn apart with nightmares and with dreams. The pursuit of individual wealth and possession has overtaken the advancement of humankind. |

It is definitely about any kind of addiction. To me though it's always been about LSD. Try to regain again my friend your sanity, the truth distorts, your precious mind is lost. Sounds like trippin to me. Also the tone of the music very trippy. Fry away your mind. We use to call trippin frying. There is also a ritualistic feel to doing LSD at least in my experience. The whole album in my opinion deals with addiction. Let Go of My World, As the Seasons Grey definitely about battling addictions. |
