Vic Godard & The Subway Sect – Vertical Integration Lyrics 3 years ago
This is one of my favourite songs ever, from the sadly overlooked 1980 album What's the Matter, Boy? I play it on my phone when I'm walking in the woods. I think it's about hope, optimism and uncertainty, but only Vic really knows.

Magazine – The Light Pours Out Of Me Lyrics 3 years ago
Brilliant song, especially the Real Life album version. I suppose it's about loss of enthusiasm/youthful naivety and embarking on the slippery slope to world-weariness. I'm not sure. Perhaps the great man himself will tell us.

I love this song. 44 years after it was released, I'm still surfing on a wave of nostalgia for an age yet to come.
