This beautifully trippy song criticizes a person who uses music as a means of escape from life's problems. It points out that life still awaits and challenges remain to be solved, but instead the person just lies down, tunes in, and drops out. The shoes are the only difference because the person isn't even standing up to do anything. The person is taking the easy way out by complaining about how hard life is. Getting up out of bed and living up to expectations are just too much for this supine drama queen to handle. But no amount of 'shaking like tremolo' will change this person's situation in life, which is a message this person finds difficult to accept. The synthesizer is the musical heart of this song. This is exemplary work and every student of synthesizer music should strive to accomplish this level of musical brilliance. |
