| Coheed and Cambria – A Disappearing Act Lyrics | 3 years ago |
|
Like many Coheed and Cambria songs this one possesses a couple deep meanings. This track is from the he album Vaxis II which is second in a five album arc that tells an epic story. The lead singer of C&C recently had a son. There are two themes. The first is including his son in he Vaxis Pentology. Second... Living through the COVID-19 pandemic. He needs the story to happen so there's a lot about a boy trapped between realities. And the lead singer working to free him. The second is the pandemic itself. The song is peppered with remarks like "We're strong enough to face our fears and watch time disappear" that's exactly what we all did during the pandemic. We faced an illness, the fear of sickness and death and together we watched time disappear as we were restricted to our homes for the duration of the pandemic. It's obvious when a whole verse is about a "A world in limbo waiting to open up, waiting to open for us"... |
