This tune reminds me of some of the best stuff The Moody Blues did back in the late 60's and early 70's. Their stuff was very spiritual, as is this song. Same taste and feel. Just wish Ghost would feature the Mellotron more, like it was on most of Meliora. Mellotron choirs, strings, and flute were what got me through life so far, and I was so happy the first time I heard those opening choirs from "Spirit". |

Musically, this song isn't too far removed from "Jigalo Har Meggido" on the first side of the album. Lyrically I heard the same news I heard growing up as a Southern Baptist about a punishing God whose son I was supposed to run to for help. As a child, God was used as a weapon to scare me into submission. It didn't work. |

This one song, for me, contains everything you need to hear to be informed of just what Ghost are about. It is dark, yet with sparkling brightness throughout. Those driving guitars rock with the best from "Meliora" and the spooky synth is hypnotizing. Throw in that heavenly male choir chant and we are in a space/time twist of fate that truly travelled the stars. |

I feel this song is a leftover from "Opus Eponymous", where both the lyrics and music might have fit more comfortably. Although this is a beautiful number in its own right, for me it just feels out of place on "Infestissumam". |

My takeaway is that when we choose to blindly trudge through life we are easily misled by lies and deceit. And we deserve it. These lyrics are actually very similar in flavor to some of those found more recently on Ghost's 2022 release, "Impera". |
