@[TheHappiestColour:44481] what's funny here "you wear those shoes" AKA a man - "I'll wear that dress" AKA a lady. I mean, wear what you want but we are traditionally speaking here fyi. So we would assume the singer to be the writer but then we get riffed with "bring your flowered hat"? Are they gay? well no, the song was written by a man so I guess we had to change only some lyrics because what man wears a dress SMH. We're talking in the past anyway, maybe he was a hippy wearing a flowered hat which is very likely. |

The song was written and produced by the male guitarist. The flowered hat is translated to his wife. We could assume the hippies back in the day would be wearing the flowered hat regardless (male or female). The point is - they literally mean it's a hat and there is no deeper meaning. This song is very simple to understand that it is in fact a recollection of a first kiss - as told by a male NOT a female. | |
