@[cchr9ts:44806] Interesting thoughts on this song. Often times when people are intrusive it's only because they care and want to help. Such anxiety disorders are most definitely an obstacle. I'm really not so sure that there can ever be a "right person" that'll just come along and fix it. These things can take many years of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to work through. Believe me when I say I wish it were possible. |

Sounds like a classic case of a man suffering from gamophobia (fear of commitment). Such an anxiety disorder can take many years of intense cognitive behavioral therapy to overcome. This is the only solution. This can be heart shattering to many women and outright devastating to women with the exact opposite anxiety disorder; anuptophobia (which isn't all that uncommon in females). I speak of experience with a man I share a very high connection and special bond with (I've never felt anything like it and nothing else could ever compare). I too ended up moving on to find comfort in the arms of someone else because I didn't have a choice; I couldn't take him hurting me any longer. I projected the pain he caused me right back to him, in which I'm not proud of and now it's a never ending saga of mirroring and triggering pain in each other. Although I tried to convince myself otherwise, I guess I never really got over him but there's nothing I can do but take care of myself and try to be happy with a different partner. I don't really care for this song for this reason. |
