I don't see the need to post more about what this song's about. Everyone should know that now, so lets talk about Ryan and Matt for a bit! Yes, we know that Ryan is probably one of the best fucking bassists around, but Matt also deserves a bit of recognition. Just listen to his playing for a while and you'll see what I mean. Here's an example: In dig, Matt uses two pedals for his bass drum, which makes that fast paced "dududu" in the backround. Now, this is all well and good, but he manages to do that for 2 and a half minutes without missing a beat. That sounds easy, but trust me, even doing that for 30 seconds is difficult, and tiring too. And Ryan, well, what can you say about Ryan, other than he's the best fucking bassist out there? That sums him up. Now, for those of you who say that Slipknot and Mudvayne are the future of music, I just have one thing to say: Listen to less Slipknot, and more Mudvayne. Now, before you start flaming me, just listen. I'm not, IN ANY WAY, saying that Slipknot is a bad band, I'm just saying that catigorizing the two in the same group is like saying that apples and oranges are the same thing. Slipknot is more screaming and fast-paced musicall maddness than Mudvayne, which puts a bit more time and thought into their songs. I don't mean to upset you hardcore slipknot fans out there, but that's just my two cents. Ok, flame away. |
