| I think that this song is beautiful and helpful to people who have self-harmed. Those of you out there who don't understand, I know you never fully will but try, try as hard as you can. I know from experience what self-harm is like. I get all of you, every single thought that captures your minds attention. That is what you are really fighting, your mind. But for those who don't unerstand don't condemn those who do self harm. The last thing they need is people to look at them strange and judge them. They need love, they need someone to talk to, and they need someone who can help them take the first steps away from self harm. I did it for a year and a half. Ive been off for about a month and a half and its only because of two people who came along side me did research to understand and have really been encouraging to me. Those who do self harm and have recently told someone. Give them a day or two, it can be shocking to find these things out. I am a Christian in a Christian home and lots of people thought it was crazy that of all people I was self harming. Give them grace for a day or so because they may really come around. To those who still self harm, there is hope!! There is hope for your future and hope for you to stop!! People understand you and people have stopped which means you can too!! You AREN'T alone, you AREN'T psycho, and you AREN'T crazy!! Your human and your hurt!! Its okay to hurt but we have to figure out how to cope with it better so it doens't destroy you. I love all of you beautiful people! Don't forget that you are unique and created in God's image! He loves you even't if the world doesn't. I'll be praying for you guys!! | |
