| Suicidal Tendencies – Where's The Truth Lyrics | 3 years ago |
| Created an acct just to comment on this song. No one may ever read this but if 1 person does and it helps them then it's worth it. This song is about being a meth abuser. How do I know? I was tweaking out of my head for 10 months straight and this song helped me finally get some help to quit. I thinking the meaning is pretty obvious, but maybe it isn't to some. The big clue "too much tweak, dosage leak" of course we called meth "tweak" when this song came out. If you were a tweaker on meth you were always lying to people and to yourself. Other clues: "you fly fly flying with lie lie lying" & "your high high hiding with lie lie lying". I think the story being told is Mike may have partied and tweaked with someone who just couldn't quit. They did so much meth and became so addicted to it, they became another person. Mike saw this happening and tried to warn the person, "sick in thought, disease you caught - it's not a game your playing do you know what I saying?". When I first started my 10 month meth bender I remember my dealer telling me the one thing to watch out for, the one thing that will get me - and he said "you won't be able to tell what's true and what's false anymore." AND HE WAS RIGHT. Where's the truth? I lied so much I had no idea what I was saying because I was going crazy. I came back from the edge, listening to this song a lot helped me suddenly realize there was a mad man working he was putting in overtime and because of the sweet "scent" of denial I was oblivious to the crime. Everyone around me wasn't. I love this song and what I wrote above is exactly what this song means. | |
