"Takes love to know love, doesn't it?" - means you don't really know what you're getting yourself into with love until you actually do it. There's no way to plan ahead and you cant understand it until you're already in it. It's ironic for the skeptic, but it's beautiful for the dreamer. You get to choose. The lyricist is a believer- love is on time, love is not blind. At the same time, there's a wildness to it- a reckless abandonment feeling. You have to take risks, but there's a sense of destiny and fate to it too. It belongs to you but you have to give it away. You can't control it but you can't live without it. So just have fun with it, for what it is. |
