This song is about insight. The writer is wading through the fog of a breakup and is slowly beginning to realize that the love and relationship that he erroneously created in his mind is crashing with reality. Although mourning the loss he's also struggling with anger towards her and himself. Her because she wasn't who he thought she was (In what way is unclear)-himself because he now is beginning to realize the depth of his self-delusion. Finally, the writer understands he'll be dealing with deep and profound loneliness but that he is responsible for moving forward in his life. |
