I think the song is about his father or a father figure who is drug addicted. The song starts out in tue pursuit of a dragon but ends on a much darker note indicated in a couple ways. " You're the chosen one As dark clouds shade the silver light Evil demons whisper in the night You will surely die!" People will say addicts chose that lifestyle. When youre drug addicted I assume you feel as if there is no silver lining in your future. Some people stay awake so long they hallucinate and hear demons telling them all kinds of aweful shit. " I saw my king stabbed by the beast Straight through his heart, poisoned his blood Living in fear, the only way, the only cure" Stabbed, like stabbing your vein and thus injecting poison, then living in fear and paranoia. The only cute being the fix. |

This song is about a man and a woman who are on fire for eachother but the woman is either drug addicted or he has hurt or "bit" her. In doing so she has lost trust or shes on a bender and only remembers him when shes alone. This couple can only seem to bond through arguments and provoking each other. A toxic relationship maybe, that seems long withstanding and has made them rely on eachother while taking eachother for granted. |
