Gotta love all the comments flat declaring "there you have it, this is what the song is about." It's one thing to state your personal interpretation, but to speak for the person who wrote it as if you were there is ridiculous. As if ANYBODY but the person who wrote the song knows for a fact what it's about. Come on. Some of these comments are ridiculous. Scott Weiland was all about leaving the songs' meanings up to interpretation. The inspiration for his songs are true for him. He loved that his songs could be interpreted completely different for someone else's. The song's meaning at the time of writing is only relevent to the person writing it. That's the beauty of this website. It's incredibly interesting to read how others interpret a song. It's also one of the cringiest feelings ever to read someone's comment as if their opinions are fact. Some of those people are on this thread posting outlandish "facts" and are so far off from one of the few credible sources there are for finding a song by Scott's "meaning". Said source being his autobiography. But even he said that what's in his book isn't necessarily the truth. It's just "his truth". People on the internet are nuts. |

@[The:48416] Fallen Angel I’m not saying you’re wrong…I’m just saying that’s not what he said in his book aside from the touring part. It’s very much about that, drugs, and a love interest at the time according to what he wrote in the book. |
