@[youcantryreachingme:43762] I think you're right for most parts, but I don't think that the 'put your hands in my hands...' part is about friendship. It might be, actually, but for me, it sounds more like she's still hoping she could save the relationship. She knows she can't stay with him if he keeps on acting like this, and she knows she might have to leave soon after, but she loves him, and still wants him in her life as a lover, and still believes they could find a way of saving the relationship if they were trying to do it together. She can't help hoping even if she knows it's all over. |

No matter what she meant, the lyrics are ridiculous. I personally love this song, I used to listen to it with my ex-boyfriend, and it always made us laugh, but... It sounds so stupid! Was it a joke, or did she actually meant it?! |

For the meaning, I think it's more some kind of bad family situation. She wants to protect her child from her problems (with the dad, maybe) and this makes her distant, she has less time to spend with her son, and she feels guilty about it. That's just my interpretation, but I think it really might be it. |

@[losethetudedude:43496] Let's say you have to chose between being raped and being killed. One would completely end your life, but the other would keep you alive, but suffering, destroyed forever. What's the worse? Sometimes, it's the exact same thing with abortion. What would the baby prefer? To die, or to live his entiere life in some bad situation that would make him suffer even more?
I agree with you on most things, but I still think that sometimes, it could be an act of kindness. |
