@[dustwardprez:42732] i can relate to that as a diagnosed schizophrenic too. It's a really interesting take on the song and as i often say you interpret a song to how you hear it. I have done that often with placebo songs i love. I don't think you're reading too much into it at all. All the best! |

This song is just beautiful, the whole album is a masterpiece in my eyes (and ears) the song meaning is probably about a woman who had his attention or love as he put down the book. The character with golden hair reminded me of rumpelstiltskin as sang in a quite old folky way. I never realised it was a James Joyce poem though even though i have read Dubliners i know not much more of Joyce. |
