Pink Floyd – Summer '68 Lyrics 10 months ago
@אילן10 it says it here...
"Tomorrow brings another town
Another girl like you"

Also "We met just six hours ago" indicates a very short relationship

'On 4 December 1968, an incomplete version of this song, titled "One Night Stand", was started at Abbey Road Studios. The band kept working on it until 16 December, and it was eventually scrapped by the band on 16 January 1969 after a session at Abbey Road'

@[Madprophet:52763] Also, look at Aisle of Plenty, same album:
"Easy, love, there's the Safe Way home" (Safeway is a supermarket)
Thankful for her Fine Fare discount (Fine Fare was a supermarket)
Tess Co-operates (Tesco is a supermarket)

Barenaked Ladies – The Flag Lyrics 1 year ago
@[Skeezmo:49901] I think this is right.

"remember when I tried to choke you? I didn't mean it," is quite clear. Then:

"When the checkered flag comes down no one has won the race", In other words, just because he got his way, he didn't win. They both lost.

Led Zeppelin – The Crunge Lyrics 2 years ago
@zedleppin This song is clearly a take-off of James Brown. . In case you don't know, 'bridge' is a common term in songwriting: it is the part of a song that is neither verse or chorus, but different. James Brown would often sing 'take me to the bridge' just before the bridge. The Crunge has no bridge, hence the phrase 'where's that confounded bridge?'. The band keep repeating but never get out to the bridge.

Natalie Merchant – Nursery Rhyme of Innocence and Experience Lyrics 3 years ago
"The young boy who is now a man notices that the children who used to be on the ship are no longer there, which means they either didn't survive the voyage or were captured. "

I thought it mean that the children had also grown up.
