I think this song is rather amazing. The reason why they are stating if they are brave is because in Canada preaching the Word is hate speech. The singer is saying he'd like to tell his government they aren't governing correctly based on his Christian views, but he is afraid of being prosecuted. Thus, "If I was brave I’d write a letter to the president

I think the song is about a variety of things....but I think the major theme is about their overwhelming success from the last album and Jimmy feeling like he didn't do much of anything and anyone else can do the same thing. He's kind of downplaying his accomplishments. |

Most likely, the majority of bands form because they want to play music for a living and you can't do that indefinately-they're gonna need some money to fall back on. It only makes me mad when they change their sound to sell out..ie blink 182.

album 5 has the potential to be phenomenal...but I don't like the direction they have started to take with all of the songs. keyboard and mellowing out some of the songs is awesome..but not all of them like the victor..that rocked and now it is just...bad.
this song is very good though. I especially like the line, "Come on and give me one small sign

to me this song is very relatable. I think maybe it's about a couple who dated but had absolutely nothing in common but a good time...at least that is what i hear evrey time i listen to the song. I dated this girl and we were as different as can be...except we always had a great time. then she called it quits:( that is how i interpret the song, she's saying we have no reason to be together, and he's saying remember we always had fun? i don't know...maybe... |

this song is awesome. All of their songs are. "it's all i'm thinking about i guess i'll figure it out i'll think i'll drink to each new lesson ignore the passing of days eventually i'll fade and in the end it's just a lesson"--This song sums up every freakn' relationship I get in. I end up like thinking she's the one, then obcessing about why it isn't working, and then i'm like ok. I learned from it, now let's move on...but I never do. |

Way way back, when weezer.com was weezer.net and the rwa had just created a board I saw someone post who claimed to know the girl this was written for, and the Green Day part literally happened like that. He asked her to the green day concert and she claimed she didnt' know who they were...i don't know what truth there is in it...but ouch! that would hurt. |
