Agreed with many that we all draw our own conclusions from the song; and in general I feel many artists want that, people’s own interpretation- not to guess theirs. Having said that, mine is simply that we all succumb to pressure, at one point or another in our lives. Be it as a child or an adult, this song makes me FEEL empowered, strong, but in a non-hulk avengers unrealistic way. It instills in me the reminder that we all get to where we want, but some in our own time and own way. And to those that challenge that, we say, “you’re missing out on learning something new, something different. But we take the consequences over betraying ourselves.” I truly enjoyed reading everyone’s comments…music is life changing. |
